Dear Sir(s),

3rd February, 1942.

I am directed to request that if you should receive information of any loss or damage to your Company's property in North Borneo by reason of the denial measures taken or authorised by His Excellency the Governor in anticipation of the Japanese invasion, you will furnish me with general particulars thereof (nature of property, financial loss sustained, etc.).

2. It is intended to transmit these particulars as and when received to His Majesty's Government, for consideration when the time comes for them to deal with the matter.
